72 highlander
1 Attachment(s)
Hey there, just wanted to get some advice and suggestions on my door panels for the interior. It's the original panels. Should I buy new ones? , paint the old ones?, or just clean them the best I can and keep them? Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 72 highlander
No new ones are available. I would either blast with walnut shells or recycled glass. If you think you may want to redye, I'd go with recycled glass since walnut shells leave on oily residue.

I have the same door panels. I put them in the bathtub and washed them real good with soap and water, then use SEM Products https://www.semproducts.com/ to clean, prime and recoat. In my case it's been about six years and they still look great. |
Re: 72 highlander
There is a really nice set of exactly those (saddle color, year, highlander, etc) on ebay right now for $249....great deal relative to the amount of work you will have to put into those.
Search under '72 chev door panels and you will probably find them. All good Coley |
