Long Night in the Garage Polishing Billets for the 85

Man I spent a little beer time and polishing time with my old billets last night. They have been sitting in a climate controlled shop for about 3 years and have never seen the road. They were originally for my 68 C10 build but I got luck and officially got sponsored by another billet wheel vendor for that project. So lucky me I get to put these on my 85' (which I didn't originally plan to cut on). So it looks like I will be doing a narrowed rear-end and minor tubbing to accommodate the rear and change to a 45 series tire up front. I will want to tuck all the way around so I'm going to have a pretty aggressive static drop to tuck the top of the tires minimum. Also thinking about changing the centers of my billets to a darker brushed nickel or just a gunmetal color.

Sweet ride... Tucking the billets will be even better!

Baddass rims would mind PMing me the size and offsets tire size

Thanks

Very nice! Those should look alright on the '85 ;). I'm interested in seeing how you get your static drop. I'm trying to do the same thing on my '68, static drop with the tires tucked.

I'm not a tire-tucker personally but I look forward to seeing how those look on your square-body. Nice truck.

Can’t wait to see this one! What drop are you gonna use?

Don't necessarily need to tuck them but I will say I don't want fender gap...

Not sure yet maybe a bit modified going for at least 6/7 with appropriate lowering shocks...

You pulling your front inners? I’m trying to get another inch or so drop to be more proportioned with the rear but I will most likely rub and need slosh mild tubz or no inners at all.

Going to try it with a 45 series tire first on the 19". But if I pull fenders I'm definitely going slosh mild tubz.
