what is the difference between this & a stock one w/o tach ?? i thought a tach would fit a regular unit ?? thanks mike

Nope-the GM tach housing are altogether different from a non/tach cluster. Theres a sport tach repro that makes it easier to add one to a standard cluster for those who arent picky about using OE parts.

thanks for the info 'g" man-there always is somebody selling tachs -for these "square" trucks - i will keep that in mind -i do know of a couple junk yard trucks that had missing tachs -guess i should go buy the housings ?? thanks again mike
