67 Chevy C10 Paint code

Hey guys I'm new to this site but I'm liking it so far.
I have a question that may have already been answered but if so I cant find it.
I have a 1967 C10 Short Fleetside and the code for the paint that is in the glove box is 04503AA I know the 503 is Light green but what does the 04 in the beginning and the AA at the end mean?
Any help would be great.

Check these two threads as i had the same question.
even though mine has different letters in it I still think the same applies.

Welcome aboard! Congrats on owning the best color! (Owning a 503 Burban may make me bias). We would love to see some pictures.

Re: 67 Chevy C10 Paint code

I just noticed reading through the two links that I didn't mention that I did go through tcp global for both of my interior colors.

My regular local paint shop mixed me two samples of the interior metallic green but neither were close enough for me(I'm color blind too) once I dabbed each on the back wall behind the tank or anywhere else.

Tcp global took a little time since they had to scout out a sample.
They explained to me through email that they didn't have either in their archives.

They did get both colors (the mettallic and dark flat green) practically perfect. And the price wasn't too bad either.

All my exterior green came from my local shop guess that was easy enough for them.

67's are my absolute favorite year in these gen. trucks in any color.
I gave my 67short fleet too my oldest boy for $1. And he NEEDED it flat black even though I begged for the oe yellow color but the 67 short step I wish I would finish is 503
so you know I would like to see some pics ;)

So yep, spend sometime searchin around here you'll be surprised by what you can learn about these trucks, especially the 67's which many agree are the most unique of the bunch.

Some reason I couldn't put two links in the same post this morning but I wasn't awake yet either:waah:
