Factory A/C Duct tip
Thought Id share this quick video I made while I was getting ready to clean up some ducts I sold with an ac and heater box on ebay. For any guys that might be getting ready to mess with their factory ac, the distribution or diverter duct often has an issue with the door. Its the most expensive duct to buy new and something you wanna look out for when buying an original. https://youtu.be/pXRU9leCD84

Re: Factory A/C Duct tip
I wish I had seen your video before I installed my diverter duct. It was bad, but I didn't know it. It will not switch back and forth between the heater duct and dash vents. If you have one that is like this, how do you fix it? Your video does not address that.

Re: Factory A/C Duct tip
Is it possible to straighten out the diverter box, it's not square like it should be, mine is fair to good condition, door has been fixed with what looks like J-B weld. Any way to heat it up an wedge a square piece of plywood in the opening to re align it?

Re: Factory A/C Duct tip
I tried straightening mine out like that, but it didn't work.

Re: Factory A/C Duct tip
Thanks, I would get in big trouble if I put it in the oven anyway.
