Anyone ever Use the Spectra Premium Oil Pan?
 

Anyone ever Use the Spectra Premium Oil Pan GMP77A on here for thier LS swap? It looks the same as the Chevy Performance #12628771. If you look at the Napa website and Search for the Chevy Performance 12628771 it comes up with this Spectra Pan. I get a good discount at napa and was going to go with this pan, just wanted to know if anyone knew any information on it before i bought it.

That looks like the Dorman F body pan, which I would think it probably is, just repackaged. You can get it at summit for like $199. Never used it before, but do know you will need the F body pick up tube to go along with it, you can probably cut down a windage tray to work though.

This is the oil pan I planned on using myself. I won't start the actual swap until January tho. I'm pretty much sold on this one.

Yea I can get this one with my Discount from napa for $145. I will probably end up getting new Pick up tube and Windage tray from napa as well if they carry those as well as the dipstick tube and dipstick

Why not get the "muscle car" from gm performance parts? $209 comes with everything

That's pretty much a truck oil pan. Hangs down a few inches more

You need to look at how long the sump is on the NAPA and make sure it is not to long and wont clear the crossmember. It does look like an F body pan. The GM performance pan is about an inch shorter than the truck pan.

For what its worth, the holley pan (302-1 or -2, need to check) fits fantastic. I can get my hand between the crossmember and the pan and there is plenty of clearance. And you can get an optional road-race baffle kit for it to keep the pump from starving under "spirited driving."
