Grill swap 80 - 74
 

Hi guys. I'm doing a swap on a 1980. Changing from the 80 front grill to a 74 grill. Have all figured out except for the center grill support. I have both grill supports, and I'm thinking of modifying the 74 support to accept the cable release/ hood latch of the 80.

Or is there another way?

So does mine that’s why I asked but some 80s model
Did have inside hood release.

You’re going to need this center support. I do not know if that can be used with inside hood release or not. Maybe someone else can chime in on that. If not I think swapping the latch is pretty simple.

Yup I have that centre support. I’ll have to cut/ weld on brackets I guess. Will post photos when done
