Looking for a small block manual trans cross member , With everybody switching over to automatics there must be a few laying next to your garage ? Price and pics please . :chevy:

I have a cross member I removed from a '71 2wd long bed a couple years ago. Did not have an engine or trans in the truck when I got it but was told the truck had a 350 and Muncie 4 spd in it. Quite possible as the floor tunnel had a after market hole hacked into it. Looked to have been measured with a tape, marked with a pencil and cut with an ax, LOL. Would like $40 plus shipping, if interested can dig it out of the parts stash this weekend and get some pics. Maybe you can tell if it is what you are looking for.

Sure if you can get a pic the small block manual cross member sits further forward in the frame than a L6 cross member so they have a different angle on the side mounts , I want to use a stock 67 bell housing because a muncie fits the 67 bell housing output hole :chevy:

I have one also I think is for the a V8 that came out of a 72. If it doesn't work out with Ironhorse I will get pics for you.

Pics of the cross member I have. Surface scale and dirt, no flaky rust or elongated mount holes. No numbers I can find on it anywhere, don't think cross members had any #s. If need more pics let me know. Only thing I can go by is, I was told when I bought the truck for parts is it had a 350 engine and a four speed. Said it was a Muncie car trans but I can't verify that for sure.
As mentioned asking $40 plus shipping, money order as I don't have Paypal .

This is a 6 cylinder manual trans cross member it measures about 9" at the front sitting flat on the floor , the V8 should measure 10 at the front edge so it mounts further forward in the frame .

Grumpy, will post pics tomorrow but appears as the cross member I have does indeed measure 10'' at the top of the angled mount. Sent you a PM. :chevy:
