Best Truck Cover?
Hey Crew,
I'm wondering who makes the best all-weather, heavy duty truck cover for the 67-72 trucks? I have a '69 long bed. We recently moved, and it will be spending the winter outdoors (no driving though). Thanks, Slowboat |

California Car Covers is what I have for my SWB and my dad has one for his crew cab too.

Re: Best Truck Cover?
I don’t leave mine out all the time....it’s garage kept.
However, when I do keep it outside and rain is imminent I use one from carcovers.com. Based on what I read on this forum, 1) don’t put a cover on it if you don’t have to (garage)....2) California covers are the highest rated ones....3)paint is going to suffer if you keep a cover on it If I was choosing a cover for full-time use...I would have spent the extra cash and got the California cover |
Re: Best Truck Cover?
A Noah from CA Car Covers. I've used them on several vehicles and the covers are top notch!

Re: Best Truck Cover?
I bought the lesser expensive one from Car covers a few years back while living in Maryland. Brought myself and the '69 to Phoenix back in '14. The car cover I purchased quickly fell apart in the desert sun. I contacted Car Covers about a replacement. They looked up my information and found out I was still under warranty and provided a FREE replacement. They offered a upgraded solar shield cover for my truck for the price difference (less than $50) and I took them up on that offer. 3 years into the better quality cover, and the solar cover is doing a fantastic job keeping my truck safe from the UV rays while being parked outside in the Arizona Sun.
Highly recommended. |

Thanks for the help - time to order one.

Re: Best Truck Cover?
Definitely buy the better cover first time. Make sure it fits snug and you check it often when its on the vehicle to make sure it's still snug.
Covers are not good on paint. I think there are ways to prevent the cover from causing damage to your paint like only using the cover when it is absolutely necessary for one! Hth, -klb |
