I did a wood laminate over exterior glued ply.
Only because I had it on hand and it was free.
so far so good.
funny to see guys at cruise in ask how I got such a smooth finish on it.
I tell them hours on a buffer!

seen them live at charlotte autofair this weekend...they look like what they are...a piece of aluminium with a wood grain decal ....theres no clear coat layer on the decal so no depth or gloss , just kinda blah...and not the most realistic woodgrain either....so my opinion they're ugly but should stay that way for a long time

Besides ugly the cost is beyond ridiculous ! I guess u could justify it as getting ugly that will last forever but us humans don t last that long so........

Anyone who has installed and used this bed, how has it held up? What are the drawbacks? Does is scratch and ding easily?

If I want a floor to look like wood I stay with wood. If I don't want the wood I swap to a steel floor and paint it.

It's aluminum so yes it will scratch & ding as easily as one would expect aluminum would.
