upper gate weight
i have new weatherstrips for my upper and lower end gates.
i am thinking of pulling the upper gate off the truck to install the weatherstrip, seems like it would be a lot easier/neater to install/glue the strip. I wonder if i can remove/reinstall the gate by my self, what does it weigh? anyone have any tips for doing weatherstrip on endgates, i did my side doors weatherstrip a few months ago so i have some recent experience with glue on weather strips. |

Re: upper gate weight
Its funny you brought that up. Im pulling mine off tomorrow to finish sanding and repainting the inside of my top door. Length as mentioned will be the big issue. If you need help, let me know and I will come over. Ive also got the single master cylinder and front brakeline for you

Re: upper gate weight
I went and did the weatherstrip with the gate on. I got a little messy but not bad.
I found one of my hinges has some up and down slop, so I'll need to replace that to get a good seal. pimpston65 or 65chevysub, do you know the size of the clutch head for the bolts that go into the top of the gate? |
