Detroit Iron Books and Service Manuals?
Any builders/novices/noob have experience with Detroit Iron Books?
I'm looking for a bit more detail than what I have in my shop service manual. The exploded views are ok but there's too much "revelle" arrows that are confusing for me. Being new to restoration and rebuilding, I'm not able to deduce the obvious. 1. RocKAuto has in the literature section a few books for the 72 C10. 2. Detroit Iron has a CD for $50 that has the following. 1972 Chevrolet Truck Chassis Service Manual (Series 10 thru 30) 1972 Chevrolet Chassis Overhaul Manual (Cars / Truck Series 10 thru 30) 1965-1972 Chevrolet Parts Catalog System Manual 1972 Chevy Truck Sales Brochures Just trying to get additional info before getting another useless manual. Opinions are welcomed R |

https://www.classicparts.com/Manuals/products/254/ You want to get the Service Manual, might as well get a color wiring diagram while your at it. I use my 72 Service Manual almost daily. Dont waste your money on the Factory Assembly Manual (the thick $40 version) unless your doing a full on restoration and can read 50 year old mechanical drawings and symbols...LMC, ebay, and Amazon all have the same manuals, usually for higher prices than Classic Parts of America. You didn't indicate what year your truck is but heres a free shipping example of the 72 Service Manual. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SHOP-MANUAL...1aTmIV&vxp=mtr Welcome to the forum Modaddio...

I believe that the year specific service and chassis overhaul manuals are on this site. Use the google search box/button up top (on the 67-72chevytrucks.com setting)
