Third Party Vehicle Transactions

Has any on here used ERP Cars to purchase a vehicle as a third party facilitator for a vehicle transaction? The seller is using this company to represent him in his absence to do the sale. My payment would be held in an escrow until I take delivery and inspect it. After 7 days I can approve it and the money would be released to the seller. If I reject it, the company would return my money within 48 hours upon forfeiting the keys and vehicle to their representative. It sounds legit. Just want insight. Thanks!

Your post raises all kinds of red flags for me. The fact that ERP Cars didn't come up in a Google search makes me even more leery.

What happens when you pay for the vehicle and it never shows up? It's actually a pretty common scam.

Here's how I do business: If I can't put the money in the seller's hand and have the seller put the keys and the title in my hand, we're not doing business. Period. There are way too many scams out there, whether you're buying or selling.

I've researched this issue further since my initial post. There's a great article called "Guide to avoiding internet fraud" on a site called "carbuyingtips.com." I'd suggest checking it out. Looks like a scam to me. Thanks to all on this forum for saving my bacon!
