1968 Turn Signal Question
 
Does anyone have any idea what would be causing the issue I'm having in this video? Turn signal works fine as long as the headlights are not on. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Here's a link to the video...

Does the signal flash at the vehicle corners or is the problem isolated to the indicator light on the dash?
I'm no electrical wiz by any means but have solved many electrical problems by checking/cleaning grounds. On a rough estimate, I'd say about 80% of electrical anomalies can be solved at the ground.

100% he is right first step clean and even redo grounds. Replace the flasher with heavy duty. I still have standard bulbs but have heard of LED bulbs causing problems. It don't take much, but hay this things are over 40 plus years old.

Thanks for the replies. The the bulbs do not Flash as well as the indicator does not Flash. I will check my grounds and get back to you guys. Thank you.

If you using the OEM glass fuse type box, check with your DMM with lights on. You will find B+ on feed side of the fuse in-disturbed and 0 volts on the other end at the double wing type connector. The connector needs cleaned as current can not pass thru it. I used some electrical contact cleaner, but took a drill, a small dermal bit, wrapped it with green scotch-brite to clean inside. You can fold some stiff wire to form a sharp "U" bend and slide the nylon scuff pad into it. Go slow, but start with testing for voltage with circuit turn on first. This high resistance to current. The brake light fuse powers a lot of circuits, I would check all...clean all can't hurt.
