Rust Free Cab...Finally!

All I have left to do is weld in the patch panel where the rear view mirror attaches, grind a little here and there, shoot some epoxy, and begin making it pretty with filler.

It has taken me nearly 9 months to get her this far.

on it's back. Should be on the frame by Christmas! Then I will begin work on the bed.

Looks great. I just got my cab off, can't wait to get it ready to go back on. Your frame looks nice also. did you have to support the back to lay it over like that?

looking good i got my cab off last week i got along wa to go

I did not add any support to turn it over. We very gently turned it on its back and with all the solid metal in it we should be fine. Now I know that you don't want to flip one over with any of the metal cut out of it as it will tweek it out of shape. I'm not going to leave it on it's back for long. Hopefully by next weekend I will have the gang help set it back upright.

Looks great, I wish my cab looked that good. I am still trying to find someone to fix my floors. I want it done right.

You did a great job!!! I'm always impressed with the lengths people will go to to repair extensive rust damage. I guess I take it for granted living in the desert and not having to deal with extensive rust repair. Rust free cabs are very common in the junkyards out here. If I only had a cheap way to get them to the eastern part of the country. I would retire young. Keep us updated on your progress.
