Tall shifter arms?

I have a hurst shifter assembly (3 speed manual) going in my 81' it was a factory 4 speed truck so everything is still in factory positions. I'm planning on building a floor console that wraps over my bench seat and the current shifter arm is almost resting on the top of the seat. I haven't be able to find a tall hurst arm that will work. I need at least 5-6" taller than stock. Not sure if a straight arm will work or not but if I can find anything I'll probably try and build one. Counting on the rat rodder guys out there for some tips.

I have a M20 in my 87 with a bench seat. I dont remember the part number, but I am using a Hurst shifter for a tri-five chevy. Its meant to curve around the bench. In 2nd and 4th the shift handle is over the top of the seat. A straight shifter would hit the seat.

I have a hog leg on my a833 that's in it now with a sm326 going in place of it. I think if I go straight arm I can use a square block with holes drilled to "push" the shifter arm a couple inches forward. I'd rather a hog leg though, I just needs to be tall at the base.

Hurst has just about every shape and size you can imagine:

I already have the 16 inch shifter arm which is the tallest they offer. Also a straight shifter will hit the dash on my truck not the seat now that I looked at it.
