SPORT WHEELS SOLD

Have a set of four matched & date coded ('79) 5 lug 15 x 8 factory GM wheels with all four GMC center caps and attaching cap bolts. VERY hard to find now days. Only offered on GMC "Sport Coupe" and Chevrolet "Sport Truck" truck orders. Wheel option PA6. Believe used from '77 thru '82 or '83, not sure on the dates. Nice survivor finish on all four with some very minor paint blems, no curbed edges. Center caps have minor flea bite blems, very nice. NOT your normally seen garden variety "wagon wheels" offered by many after market mfgs. from back in the day. True GM offerings. Very usable as is for a true survivor truck or bead blast and paint or powder coat for a show truck. $300 plus shipping for all 4 wheels, caps and bolts ---or---$250 for the wheels only (no caps or bolts) plus shipping if they are planned for a Chevrolet Sport Truck. Bit surprised myself. Wheels are in really great condition with original paint, not curbed and no rust or scale. Have seen similar condition wheels at a much higher $$ on the board. Powder coated wheels have brought some big $$. Will look great on a true Sport Truck survivor or any 5 lugger for a back in the day look.

I’d throw them on Ebay. Two of them fit perfectly in a 16x16x16 box from Walmart. You’ll have a lot more people see them also.

Just a heads-up, wagon wheels are coming back. You all just haven't figured that out yet. Take it from me, I should know. I started disliking them before everyone else :lol:. It's been long enough that it's time to take another look at them in a different way. Everything comes back around. People are diggin' on those Cheyenne Super 2-tone '18s with their white spokes. I was runnin' steelies and hubcaps when these were the rage. Hubcaps are expensive, people love the period correct stuff, and these are that. Factory stuff!!

Thanks for the bump Tim. LOTS of looks but no takers, :lol: Really a bit surprised at that. These ARE factory and are period correct and a great look for a survivor or for a build in process Sport Truck. I'd run them on my '71 4x4, but with 5 and not 6 just not enough lug nuts.

What is the letter code and date code on these?Common codes were AH;BT;CT .

Since could not remember and did not write that info down, had to go out to my storage shed and looked.

All four wheels are stamped " BT " near the air valve hole on front of wheel. All four wheels are stamped " 9-18-79 " on the inner back side of the wheel. I take it that means Sept-18-1979 mfg. date for the wheel. Full set of four with matching build dates if I am de-ciphering the codes correctly. Thanks for the bump. :chevy:

Nice ...they would have been on an early 1980 truck then...not often you find a date matched set.

AM REALLY surprised there has been no takers on these. Just a really nice set of factory original GM wheels. Would run them on my '71 for a classic look if they were 6 lug. Run them as they are for a 5 lug survivor truck or powder coat for a back in the day show quality truck. Guess until some one wants them they will hold down that section of the storage shed floor. 'Nuther bump for period correct factory white spoke 5 on 5 Sport Truck wheels. Great look for a back in the day survivor or restoration. Nothing like factory correct '80s wheels for a factory '80s 2wd truck build. $300 plus shipping for 4 wheels, GMC center caps and cap bolts. $250 plus shipping for 4 wheels, bare, no caps or bolts.
