Trying to identify this van
I am trying to identify this Panel van, currently residing in Scotland. I would welcome any information any one can give me.

Re: Trying to identify this van
1962 or 1963 Chevrolet Panel Van with a GMC grille?
With 20" or more wheels to really make it ride hard? Looks like the West Coast mirrors were removed and C-10 side mirrors were installed. What other info are you looking for? |
Re: Trying to identify this van
Thank you. That information is just what I am looking for.
I take it the West Coast mirrors are the full length type, like on a large truck? What determined single or double headlights? Are the singles GMC and the doubles Chevrolet? Any idea why the Chevrolet grill would be replaced with the GMC grill, other than damaged and GMC grill to hand? As you can gather, I know very little about US trucks, especially of that vintage. Thank you once again for your help. |

Spend a little time on this board before you buy then and you will learn much: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=6
I'm always amazed at the information members have here on these trucks. By the way I was guessing on the Panel Van info above. :) I see it has a Chevy hood and a GMC grille so... Some GMC info - http://6066gmcguy.com/ There is a FAQ page that has much info also - Sticky Thread 60-66 FAQ Index |
Re: Trying to identify this van
Thanks. That GMC link was exceptionally helpful. Vans of that ilk are like hen's teeth in the UK, and a buyer has to take what he can get. Me, I am just an interested bystander.
