66 deluxe heater controls question
 

I am planning to buy the vintage air sure fit ac and the plan is to use the slider controls that would be on the left side of the radio on the dash near the steering wheel. I currently only have the one pullout style knob and I am in the process of painting the interior. Id like to paint everything at once and I need to figure out whether or not buying a repop control and removing the faceplate to paint, or find an original that will have everything I need to make the conversion. Anybody been faced with this before that can advise?
