Willwood D-52 dual pistion calibers
Hey Guys
I installed Willwood D-52 Dual piston calibers with 1 /14" drilled and slotted rotors that are still the same size as the OEM rotors and stainless braided brake lines as well. They look great and stop great has anyone else used the calibers? How are they long term which pads do you use. I'm running ceramic pads at the moment. Thanks for any info |

Running the same setup as well, but only have maybe 50 miles on it so far. I'd be curious to know if there's a better pad option also.

Re: Willwood D-52 dual pistion calibers
I have the Wilwood D-52 calipers (Red) looks cool and works fine. As to the pads I plan to get a set of Wilwood pads to back them up. My pads last years but I guess how much heavy braking you do has the most effect on wear. See how long yours last and if not long enough to suit you try something else or let up on the foot.

Re: Willwood D-52 dual pistion calibers
I am running the D-52 calipers on my 71 C20 and my 90 V2500 Suburban and I have found the pads that came with the calipers to work pretty well. I replaced the pads on my C20 just this year and put in some ceramic pads. Both trucks saw a nice improvement on braking with the new calipers. On my C20 I am running a wilwood master cylinder with the D-52s up front and I added disc brakes to my Dana 60 rear axle.

Re: Willwood D-52 dual pistion calibers
jkk,
Did you mean stock size as in 12" rotors? 14" wont fit on stock spindle unless modular and maybe not even then. Are they a noticeable improvement or would you say it is a big improvement over the stock rotor. Thanks |
