Transmission NV3500 questions

1 Attachment(s)
I have a NV3500 tranny I want to put in my 63 C10. I got this tranny from a guy who I believe pulled it out of a 93??? Chevy pickup. On top of the tranny is this open hole. What goes in this hole?? I cant imagine it wouldn't have a plug of some sort. Also what kind of oil do I put in this. And how much?

Re: Transmission NV3500 questions

There should be a vent that goes in there. The transmission should take gm sycnromesh fluid

Pennzoil and Valvoline both make a Synchromesh that you can use. The GM stuff is the same stuff, but more pricey. 2.2 quarts.

Agreed with 302... that's a vent hole.
