Re: cable pedal
A few people have done this with success: http://persh.org/Pickup/CableThrottle.htm In fact thats what I am now doing.
'71-'72 or '73-'87 pedals should work. Although I havnt seen it done I even think the Lokar Xbag will work (see post #8 below) - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lokar-XBAG-...mtr&rmvSB=true Lokar Pedal - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...51&postcount=4 They also have an 'Eliminator' floor mounted pedal. |

I believe it’s a lokar assembly. I used a chunk of billet to offset the pedal. So much easier to pedal now. |
Re: cable pedal
I dont have a pic but i used a s10/blazer gas pedal i got off ebay for 15 bucks. fits almost perfect just drilled a couple holes and bolted it right up.

Re: cable pedal
I used a mid 90's suburban pedal in my 62. Super simple and dirt cheap from the junkyard. Just trimmed the right side down a little, drilled three holes and bent the rod to where I needed it to be.

I used the gas pedal assy from a mid 70's Pontiac. The plastic gas pedal came off a mid 70's Nova. I did have to tweek (bend) the Pontiac gas pedal assy a little to get everything to work correctly. Nothing a vise couldn't handle. I also added the Power brake pedal from a 73 C-10 and next on the list is the stainless trim kit for a Chevelle to finish off the look.
Another item I plan to add is an emergency brake pedal assy from a 72 Caddy so when I drop the truck into gear - Drive or Reverse the parking brake will release automatically. Yep, I'm lazy and forgetful. |
Re: cable pedal
I just went with a Lokar pedal for the 67-70 C10, put it where I wanted and drilled 3 holes.
