I would do a little research beyond LMC. Everything I have purchased from them that was made out of rubber was much thinner than the stock parts. I think there are other companies that specialize in rubber parts. Precision comes to mind, but I don't know if they sell anything beyond weatherstripping. Brothers is another possible source, although they are almost always more expensive. I would check on the return policy in any case.

I too would like to know this. For the whole truck. Cab, bed, nose, everything. There must be a kit.

Although I'm not real sure how long it takes for these things to wear out. Are they gone after 20 years? 30?

I had OK luck with the LMC kit on my '77. I wanted rubber, not poly and LMC was the only source I found. All the rubber was made in Taiwan, which was not a surprise. Fit was actually pretty good. A couple of the bolt hardware pieces were incorrect, but easily fixed with a trip to the hardware store.

the LMC rubber kit I got for my crew worked well.

I used the LMC Rubber kit last summer - seemed to be the same thickness as the old mounts I removed. Seemed like good quality mounts and came with all hardware.

Another vote for the LMC rubber mounts. In a perfect world, they would be made in USA and come in a GM or Moog box. But even made-in-Taiwan rubber beats clapped-out 40+ year-old OEM parts.

The LMC kit was almost a perfect fit for my 1973 C20 - I only had to swap out the radiator support bolts for .5" shorter pieces. My only complaint is the rear support bolts in the kit were silver zinc-plated grade 5 pieces, while the radiator and front mount bolts included were yellow grade 8. Yellow grade 8 replacements cost me about $8 each at the local commercial hardware supplier.

I could only find the rubber ones at LMC also. I bought the complete set and installed it. The fit was good, but in less than a year the core support rubber is cracking.

That makes me not want to buy those. Someone mentioned urethane. Maybe it would be tougher? What effect do these bushings have on ride quality?

I bought the urethane to replace my original mounts, and did not like them. They increased the noise level in the cab quite a bit. After 20 years, they crumbled. It seems there are no good choices out there.

Perhaps a substitution is in order. Maybe some for newer trucks that are "close enough" could be used instead. Got to be a high quality bushing out there, that would do the job. May even have to trim one up some to make it the right shape. Or some newer ones that could be stacked on top of each other, say off of the newer trucks. Just drill a hole through the middle for the bolt if necessary.

I was just looking around at Brothers Trucks, says that they have a rubber kit. It maybe the same one LMC has?

Not to highjack your thread, but anyone know what the difference is between the LMC 81-82 cab mount kit with hardware and the 84-87? I have an 85 cab on an 81 frame so not sure which one to get.
