Anyone heard from desert rat?

He owes me some big block mounts from many months ago. I paid for them and I've tried e-mailing him and sending a PM, but got no reply. I wouldn't mind getting my new motor in this winter. Anyone heard from him?

Burnsman, i read his last post. If i had a set of bbc motor mounts i would send them to you just to help him out. I have had family in that situation before and its not fun. Hes doing the best he can.

Burnsman, what mounts are you needing? I have a pair of 69 towers I can send to you...I don't need them to install my BB in a 4x4. I've been told to use the stock SB towers.

Thats what this board is all about...you guys are awesome! :)

I hope DR and his family are doing OK, last I heard it was a pretty rough road they were on.

I should be ready in a few weeks to drop the 454 in my 67 shortbed. It's a 2wd. I'll just wait. I didn't want to cause any problems. I just wanted to know what was up and what his intentions were. If he is indeed sick and can't get them to me, I'll try to hunt another set down. You are right on the 4x4 thing. I heard the same thing. The 454 will be going in mine next year. I was told to slide the sb crossmember ahead and re-drill some holes to move the trans/xfer case forward so you don't have to beat in the firewall. Then I'll have to deal with the driveshaft issue.

You can have them for cost of postage. Could be there next week, if these will work for you. I don't know if we'll hear from DR very soon.

Class of 69, you are a kind man. I'll send you a PM. I'm going to offer you some money, just because I feel guilty. You trully do have class. If you don't take money, I'll send you the money or mounts if I ever get them from Desert Rat. Now I'll have one less engine on the engine stand!

That's definately a class act, or should it be "class of 69 act" ;)

It would be hard to "Out Class" Class of 69.

Class of 69 went out of his way to help me find a part once, so
I believe that is just the way he is. A very helpfull guy!
