I have a 91 1500. I’m doing a 03 5.3 engine change into. I friend Willie introduced me to the site. Just wanted to introduce myself. I’m a 20+ year railroader. I have allot of mechanical and electrical experience. I’ve done a few engine changes, V8 luv truck, V6 luv Truck, 83 ElCamino with a LT1 (didn’t finish this one. I was into motorcycles at one time. Built a turbo ZRX that was allot of fun. I look forward to reading posts on the forum. Steve

Welcome to the forum Steve. Looking forward to chatting with you during your build. What are your plans for the 91 1500?

Willie, I’m putting a 03 5.3l engine and a 4L60e trans it it. Will have 15x14” dry slicks for the rear set. The truck is lowered with the rear frame notched and lowered spindles and springs in the front. I’m looking at some options for the cab interior. I may attempt to install a 03 or so dash. Not sure yet on that one.
