60 hood rubber bumper installation
I had my 1960 hood repainted and the paint shop didn't reinstall the front rubber bumper stops. I purchased a replacement kit which came with two round rubber bumpers with a circular hole on the back side. I looked at the hood and it does have holes on the corners where I'm told the rubber bumpers should be placed. I assume I'm missing a piece of hardware, bolt of some sort, that the rubber bumper gets pressed onto. Any help on identifying what I'm missing or how they are installed would be a great help.
Thank you. |

Big thank you for your help. How are the square rubber bumpers attached to the hood.

I believe if not mistaken most people use a #10 pan head Phillips sheet-metal screw. You could use a pan head Phillips 10-28/32 Machine screw just have a nut in the back.
