Vintage Air Compressor Connector Wiring - HELP!

Found out today that Vintage Air send me the wrong male plug to hook up and into the sanden AC Compressor clutch wiring connector. Does anyone know where I can get the other side of it? I might drop them a line but if I can get one easily enough I will. A google search wasn't productive in finding the other half of the connector.

thanks

Call Vintage air customer service. They'll no doubt have one in t he mail the same day. Faster than chasing around trying to find the correct one.

Looks like I can one locally at the race shop where I get my other electrical stuff. VA might send me one but it might not be worth the hassle to get it from them.

Thanks

I used VA on my 67, one of the hoses was a little short. I called them to try and maybe reroute it. Salesperson asked me how much longer it needed to be, I told him and it was at my house in 2 days. Very Very, good customer service from VA for me. So I don't think it will be any hassle, give them a call.

I sent them an email with some pics. We'll see how they respond. If they are in TX (I thought CA), it could get here quick enough.

I broke a switch on the control panel while installing my Vintage Air. I called them & they sent a new one right away no charge.

John you can just use a button type connector on that wire. I've done it many times without any issues.

I just swapped mine out with blade typeconnectors from advance. I didn’t wanna deal with looking for the other connector.

I'm all out of 1 pin connectors or I'd have gladly sent you one. There are single pair kits available on eBay for different wire gauges. Here's an example:

You probably know, but you need a crimping tool to do it properly.

Re: Vintage Air Compressor Connector Wiring - HELP!

Thanks everyone. I can easily change out the connector to something I have but I like the factory look of the weatherpack. i'll just get the other side from that auto electrical supply shop that did my new battery cables. Vintage Air never returned my call today - apparently you cant even talk to a live person when you call, you have to leave your info on a voicemail and they promise to call you back in 30-60 mins. They didn't.

Here is the response to the email I sent.

"John,

Unfortunately we do not carry that weatherpack connector, But it can be found at Summit or several places online. The GM part # is 2804F You will run the blue wire to the power side of the weatherpack conn.

In our wiring harness we only have one wire going to the comp. and tapping into a OEM comp. may require some extra connectors/fittings.

I hope this help and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Regards,"

So they knowingly send out a harness plug with a connection that they know doesn't work. I'm not impressed.

John,

I left you a message today so if you would contact me at your convenience. The connector you are looking for should have been in the box with the compressor. We can get one out to you so you don't have to search elsewhere.

Thank you,
Wayne Potter
