Rear view mirror
I have a 1969 c10, the rear view mirror on these trucks is right in your face when driving. I feel like I'm always having to look around it when driving thru town. Highway, not so much.
Have any of you had this problem? I took mine off today but I need to get better side mirrors now. These little round sport mirrors ain't good for much. Have any of you tried relocating the rear view? Maybe mounting it to the ceiling to get it up a little higher? |
Re: Rear view mirror
69 should be ceiling mounted? Doesn't your cab roof at center line above windshield have the pad and mount holes?

Re: Rear view mirror
I removed my inside mirror many years ago and have never missed it. Drove commercial utility trucks at work, no inside mirrors, you just use the outside mirrors. Also, with the mirror inside my K20, oncoming headlights at night appeared like traffic approaching very rapidly from behind. Too much of a distraction for me and I didn't really use that mirror anyway, so out it came.

Re: Rear view mirror
I drove my share of bigger trucks with only side mirrors but I actually don't mind mine, in fact I have one of those wide view mirrors over it.
