s10 frame/rim question
Is there an offset/back space combination rim we can use up front to avoid 2" spacers? My 1950 is sitting on a S10 frame.

Re: s10 frame/rim question
it would need to be pretty negative offset, or low backspace. here is what a 15x8 with 3.5 inches of backspace looks like without a spacer.

I have 5" backspacing with a 2.5" spacer. I had a 3" spacer, but it was too wide and hitting my fender when I turned.

also, its is important to point out that backspace does not translate to different wheel widths, a 9" wide wheel with 2.5" backspace will stick out an extra inch compared to an 8" wide wheel with 2.5" backspace. same backspace, different fit. |

And I agree with the width comment, I guess I was referring to overall width, not rim. I had may hours with string dangling with a washer and a tape measure and pages of sketches & "simple" math... |
Re: s10 frame/rim question
Thanks guys. I'm wondering if these will work with a 2"spacers on the front and a 4wd rearend on the back.
"two 18 x 9, 5.25 back spacing, two 18 x 8, 4.5 back spacing. Both 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern. Tires are 225/45/18 and 245/45/18" Any input would be appreciated. |

should work a treat. :three: 5.25 backspace on a 9 inch wheel is a +5 offset, the mounting surface will be 5mm from the center of the wheel. 4.5 backspace on an 8 inch wheel is a zero offset, the mounting surface will be at the exact center of the wheel. should work very well depending on how low you want the truck to be. |
