Power Steering hose question
So i changed out my power steering gear a few weeks back with a rebuilt unit. Of course it had the adapter fittings on it as my hose is stock 72 K10.
My junkyard power steering pump locked up yesterday. Thankfully it had a 90 day warranty. So i picked up a replacement today and while installing it I had a thought. I am using the inverted flare to O-ring adapter on the steering gear and on the pump why can't I just get a square body hose and do away with these as I need a new hose anyway. Has anyone ever used one..? What year fits best? Thanks guys. |

First picture is the adapter that I pulled out of steering gear:
Second picture is the o-ring hose that threads into the pump: I don't think I can get a stock hose that has these 2 different ends? |

Re: Power Steering hose question
looks like the gear box is a flare and your pump is an oring style, what i did was swap the 1 inch nut on the back of the power sttering pump for the flare fitting and ran the stock 1971 flare hose with no adapters anywhere
