It looks like some decent numbers. How does it compare to the Edelbrock system?

$1400 at Jegs, not too bad.

MylilBowTie 11-14-2003 02:48 PM

What heads come with it?

Not too bad? Thats insanely cheap for aluminum heads, intake, and cam+lifters. Looks like an awsome deal to me. Only thing is, the cam is at 235/240@.050. Thats a fairly steep cam already. You'r going to have to do head and/or intake work to get more power from this setup.

Thats a pretty large cam to keep streetable. But if thats gonna be your playtoy, then I say go for it!

You could put that setup in a 383 or 400 and it wouldnt be as steep of a cam.

Wow, that's a LOT of duration! I would think more along the lines of 220 would be a better choice...unless you plan on winding the CRAP out of that motor.

ocbaud 11-14-2003 04:59 PM

the head compare to the dart iron eagles i planned on getting. and the cam looks to be close to the xe274 cam i was also gonna get.

it looks like a great deal for everything i get with it. and i was wanting around 400hp anyways. i can always add a 300 shot later:D

looks like a good deal to me. i like those cam specs. it will make a 350 sound pretty radical. my cam is around 236/246 at .05 off the top of my head i think. and it being in a bigger displacement engine calms it down quite a bit and the idle is just real healthy not radical. so a 230/240 in a 350 is gonna give you that radical sound your probly looking for and its still making good torque numbers looking at the dyno chart. if you down graded to like a 268 it will probly give you a little more low end but it won't do you any good because you won't be able to hook it up anyway. nowing what i know by putting my motor combo to gether if i did it again i would have went with a 284xe and a single plane intake on this size motor, that would kill off my low end some and give me a better chance of hooking up and pull harder on the top

And change your displacement to a 327 stroker. :D

I put change to a 327 stroker, so that way you could wind the crap out of the motor, and make some sick power up top. But when I put 327, I MEANT 302. (As in the ORIGINAL DZ Block Z28)

I'm looking at a kit from Trick Flow for $1600. Claims 445 HP and 405 Tq.

Meh, winding the crap out of a 400 would be more fun :D
