Not many out there, both in literature and in real life. The 305 V6 was the only engine available from '60-'63. Here
s a start, hopefully more will chime in with photos of how they looked when they left the factory. Check out post # 18 also for a super clean '62 "Custom" http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...y+truck+colors

60-66, why does this truck have the writing on the rockers? Is it a Cali thing or??

As usual 60-66, WOW! Very sharp looking Palomino Tan tu tone. 17.5" wheels with caps and re trac mirrors are icing on the cake! As I mentioned in the past, GMC got the grill right the first time, unlike Chevy.

Do you mean the top of inner fenders ? By the hood hinge Clyde ? Thats a body build sequence or job number .

Ahh , ok . Thats a state by state thing I believe for licensing ?. This was bought from the original owner in Montana. Its a decal and I tried to take it off with no success without screwing up the original paint and decided to leave it alone.

Ah! Ok, it’s oddly cool imo. Maybe it was a commercial vehicle? Some states have weird rules for those. Thanks

Remember this one? '62 custom 4x4 Suburban with the V6. Talk about rare!
Eight years and I still can't get it out of my head. Anybody know where it went?

Agreed ! Hopefully someone from Montana or ? will chime in. I haven't had time to look it up. All I remember about the owner now was he used it for hunting in the mountains. It had a rack in the bed with a manual hoist for lifting his kill for the day and a light on the rear bumper to see behind him.
