liquidating the fleet...

since getting my Trans Am back, i've been doing alot more reading on modifications for it. i've been considering selling off my 86 in the spring. the 91 is going as soon as i get the 86 running and drivable. and i made a deal to sell the remains of my 82 to a friend of mine. he picks up the frame tomorrow morning. i've been finding myself surfing F-body forums more and more lately, and surfing here alot less. i'm not sure what im going to buy if i sell off the 86 in the spring. i guess i'm just at a point in my life where i need a little bit of change, and the Trans Am seems to be just what i need. i'm not saying goodbye just yet, but i figured i'd let you guys know whats up, and why i havent been on as much lately.

Sometimes different interests take you different directions. I guess I went the opposite way. I have an 84 Z-28 that I built, and rebuilt then sold, and bought back. It's sitting in my garage collecting dust, and I just can't get motivated to work on it again.

Here's what it looked like in it's prime...

What the hell Ken, you have all the goodies and you can't even buy a flippin cover for the Camaro? :D

That thing looks like it has been sitting in there since day one! :)

Jeremy, good luck with whatever you decide. One bit of afvice coming from a guy who has owned well over 15 vehicles in 10 years. You will always need a truck when you don't have one! :)

I say keep one truck, and use it for towing the TA, hauling parts, or whatever.

Agreed. :) I tried the car "thing" in the form of a 69' El Camino but that only lasted 5-months. You'll miss the feeling and practicality of owning a truck.

Jeff, you've got some catching up to do man! i've had quite a few more vehicles than that. like 25 at least count, and i've only been driving for 7 years.

i seriously doubt i'll ever be without a truck. i've got my eye on an 89 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9 V6 in it. it once belonged to my grandfather, so while being a great truck it would have alot of sentimental value too. its fairly quick, i raced a couple stock Mustangs with it, and it definitely held its own.

Quality my friend, not quanity. :) EVERY one of the vehicles ran when I purchased them and ran when I sold/traded them. :)

At least you are smart enough to have/keep a truck...that was my main point. :)

Good luck with the TA. :)

Like what everyone else has said, keep at least one truck for hauling stuff and spare the car for just cruising and for picking up young ladies. :burnout:

quality? lol a few of them were not recognizable when i got rid of them. there wasnt a straight panel on my Monte Carlo, and before i scrapped it i decided to cave in the top, by jumping on it. i managed to get it down level with the bottom of the window frames. :D
