Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
1 Attachment(s)
I'm knee deep in a crew cab project and I'm afraid its going to look like a minivan on a truck frame. I'm using a superduty CCSB frame, which has a Big cab. How big is too big? Does anyone have pictures of a truck done this way?
Thanks I just realized I hacked apart a picture someone else hacked apart. I changed the windows to suburban style. Thank you previous truck hacker, and truck owner. |
Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Welcome.
Do you have pics of your truck? There are several people that have built them and several that are in the process. I'm fixing to start my CC project. I have the big stuff (Parts) collected. |
Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
you can find several builds by using the search function.
Here are a few.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=Crew http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=507581 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=722895 |
Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Thanks for the replies. I have been through those threads, they all have cut down doors. I have book marked a dozen threads, and skimmed through for pictures of rear full size doors. No luck yet. I guess nobody likes the streched limo look, ha ha. Ill keep looking, maybe photochop another one.

Trevor has a nice build thread also.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...light=crew+cab atvpro is probably the guy you need to talk to if these trucks you looked at in the other links are not long enough  This is Randell's Texas Longhorn Attachment 1809828 |
Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
That is a good one! It is a bit discouraging how few of the crew cab threads get finished.

Oh, I am still on mine. The inner roof skin is taking me some time as I am welding it in instead of using the suburban roof bows. I want mine to be like a truck headliner and not suburban. Still proud of where it was to now for not being a bodyman by trade or farming the build out.

Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Trevor, great build! Your b pillar came out great, i'm on page 8 of your build. That big bertha is roughly where I cut my suburban for length, not knowing where it will finish at. I'll need a BIG tarp to hide this from the neighbors haha

Thanks for the pics everyone.
This is another Rtech I extended 2-3". You can see the white rectangles in the black background identifying the stretch. |

Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
I really like the painted on molding on Louis's truck. I have to quit looking at threads like these.

Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Ryan, the green and white short bed also has the mouldings airbrushed on.

Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Those are some beautiful trucks guys.

Re: Pic request: Crew cab with full size rear doors
Thanks for the replies. Im going with 4 front doors. I do not like the proportions, but i will like the room. It also ends up near perfect for my wheel base.
Getter-done, I have hordes of parts, sitting on a frame. Pretty much nowhere, and I'm not taking pictures to prove it HaHa |
