Tilt Wheel Help

1 Attachment(s)
I am getting my original tilt reasdy to install in the truck and bought this new PRNDL indicator thing and it doesn't want to push in all the way. Is it whewre it it is supposed to be or should it go in more and do I have the right one.

It looks to be all the way in. Does it move freely?

Often the white pointer is too thick, sand the sides down by rubbing the pointer on a piece of sandpaper which is on a flat surface to correct the thickness.

Make sure to install the pointer correctly, the "hook" at the bottom of the pointer goes in between the indicator housing and the indicator lens...the "hook" keeps the pointer close to the lens and pushes or pulls the pointer out of the shift bowl groove.

Try tilting the mechanism in different locked positions when you install it. I’ve done that to assist installing a repro pointer and it helps to find the “sweet spot” where it will go in easy.
