holley 4150 throttle body
2 Attachment(s)
thinking about using this throttle 112-558, that flows 1000cfm, on my 5.3 on the holley single plane 300-137 intake with the proper fuel rails..plan on adding a BTR stage 1 truck series cam and some headers...from what ive read the gm 75mm flows at 920cfm or so ..I think this will work ...just wondering if anyone is running one and some opinions of it..https://www.holley.com/products/fuel.../parts/112-588
if it wont work ill make the LS tb work |

this is the specs from tooley's site I think if you are going to the trouble of single plane, and nice TB like that....I would change the cam events and get something to maximize it. most of these 'shelf cams' are designed for the long runner truck intakes |
Re: holley 4150 throttle body
I talked to btr and the 2 they recommended are stage 1 or stage 2 truck series cam...
I'm not really building this for max hp...just wanted a llittle cam rumble... Going to make this swap look retro is reason for intake and tb swap..... I can use the stock tb on it like the one dayj1 did...but was thinking the holley tb might look better |
Re: holley 4150 throttle body
tighter LSA, 105-106 ICL will help
I would spend the extra for a 8620 core cam, Cam Motion. It's minimal cost for reliability. IMO |
Re: holley 4150 throttle body
The TB should work.
You might also consider the kit Delmo makes especially if you will relocate the coils and put on vintage valve covers. You can get a more retro look that way. https://www.delmospeed.com/product/d...t-5-3-and-6-0/ |
Re: holley 4150 throttle body
