Quick steering update
 

OK, been round and round wanting to add quick steering box to my Suburban. I ordered the Grand Cherokee box but the mounting holes did not match up as they are supposed to. Of course I didn't find this till my truck is apart and I need a box now!

So I gave in and called RedHead and they have the 12:1 ratio on the shelf and can ship that day. They were good enough to verify the casting numbers just to make darn sure it was the right box.

Just got it installed along with a new pitman arm and the difference is amazing! I know I had play from the worn pitman arm but the steering now has virtually no play. The quick steering is a little stiffer than I expected but I like the road feel. The faster steering is wonderful. Of course I never ran off the road when I looked off for a second. But I think I am going to love this. Now the steering matches all the handling improvements.
