Sway bar from 86
I hear the 73 to 87 sway bars fit our trucks.
Can someone confirm this as I finally found one. Local wrecker has one. |
Re: Sway bar from 86
Yes, two wheel drive. Up to 91 on V series trucks and Suburbans.

Re: Sway bar from 86
I have a '76 front swaybar from the pick-n-pull on my truck.

Re: Sway bar from 86
I have a 1 1/4" sway bar from a 1 ton 78 on mine

Re: Sway bar from 86
I've used one from an 87 1 ton on my truck. Make sure you get the clamps as well, since the 1.25" bars take bigger bushings/clamps than the smaller sizes.

Re: Sway bar from 86
I have one on my 68.
Do not get one from a Chevy or GMC van!Way too wide to fit! Mike.:chevy: |
Re: Sway bar from 86
Yes they definitely fit as I've done a ouple of them. You say you have one already and it will work but the ideal one to get is a 1 1/4 inch one from a C30 or GMC 3500 1 ton truck. I'd also buy new polyurethane bushing to install as well. Here is link to a very detailed front sway bar install.
