reverse lockout on stock shifter?

we all know that the stock auto colum shifter is crappy. way to easy to knock into reverse or even park. is there a way to make it so that it cant accidently knock the lever into reverse.

make it so you can only shift between 1st thru Neutral?

then have something so you can go into reverse and park?

reverse manual valve body, so that you'd start out where D is now for 1st gear, 2nd is the same, and 3rd would be where 1st is now

dont want that.

i'm not talking about JUST for racing. i'm talking about if i have my lady next to me and she goes in for a hug, i dont want her knocking the truck into park or reverse

Newer trucks and cars have the brake lockout. You can't shift out of park without hitting the brake. Maybe you could adapt that to work? The 90's trucks have the same brake assembly.
