factory tach rebuild
Has anyone had their factory tach rebuilt? Is the tach man still in business?

Re: factory tach rebuild
Those are nice but not the same as what I have. The LMC picture shows they have a 'window' (for lack of a better term) for two warning lights in the bottom of the gauge face and mine only has one 'window'.

Re: factory tach rebuild
Wilcox sells replacement boards that fit some but not all. You send em your tach and they replace the board and calibrate it.

Re: factory tach rebuild
So, I went ahead and sent my factory tach to the TachMan, www.tachman.com Best warranty of all the places I contacted and fastest turn around too. A couple places I never even got a reply from, others said they could update the electronics and then decided later they couldn't. Took 3 weeks from the day I shipped it to when I received it back. He gave good feedback and provided pictures of the finished product prior to shipping it back to me too. I haven't installed it yet, just got it back on Tuesday but looking forward to getting it installed this weekend weather and time permitting.

Got the rebuilt tach in and it works perfectly, smooth movement. Used to be jumpy and randomly go up and around to 4 or 5000 while driving.
