Sway bar mounting holes on the lower control arm
So after spending several hours reading through a bunch of threads on here and a couple of other sites, I have not been able to find the dimensions for where to drill holes on the LCA to mount a factory 73-87 1 and 1/4 inch sway bar. I've noticed that most people use the LCAs from later model trucks when they do the disc brake swap, but I am still working with the 63 LCAs, so I don't have the holes. Does anyone know of or have a template on where to drill the holes in the LCA? Any sort of dimension to get me started would be greatly appreciated.
I'm really excited to get a sway bar on Frankentruck and carve some corners :metal: |

Well If you install the frame mounts for the sway bar, you can put the control arm mounts on the sway bar and use that as a template. Not like your going to flex a sway bar much, only when turning.

Also is there a certain amount of the bar that is supposed to stick out the back of the LCA mount? |

Yes the bar sticks out past the LCA sway bar brackets bushing, can take a photo of 65 C10, all the C20s are apart. Just from memory some where around 1/2” or a little more. For drilling your LCA holes, have Truck at ride height may help.
The photos below are from a 66’ C20 Truck, will get some for a C10. Les |
