Installing Trim?
1 Attachment(s)
Just wondering how this trim is mounted. Any pics would be great!
I don't see any screws on the LMC page?? I would think stainless steel screws to hold the clips on but not sure. Maybe 3M tape on the clips?? Anybody installed this trim? |
Re: Installing Trim?
There are little studs that are welded to the cab if it has that molding from the factory that look like little nail heads. If you are adding it to your truck then you either have to weld studs on or use rivets or screws to hold the plastic pieces in place if the truck is already painted. Use the search as there is a few threads on it and they give the locations of where to mount them if you are adding this to your truck.

Re: Installing Trim?
My 72 has little studs sticking out along the way. They must have been ground off for a paint job on yours.

This thread has some pictures. I was just installing the trim on my '71 4x4 at that time.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=333478 The screw in studs are available. I think Mar-K or Classic Parts has them. https://www.classicparts.com/1967-87.../#.VzSmEsXVqAg You will need 12. You can also get them for a stud welder gun, in fact some of the gun kits include them. Also see this thread, Post #10 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=732199 LockDoc |
Re: Installing Trim?
I am using the Mar-K trim. Very good quality trim.
They also carry the screw in posts for non trim Cabs. http://www.mar-k.com/Catalog/index.aspx?LID=3299 |
Re: Installing Trim?
