81 K10 Shortbed Running board issue

So i recently installed running boards on my 1981 k10 Shorbead. it has a 2" lift from rough country on it. The issue i am having is the rear of the running boards are about 1-2" taller than the front. Has anyone else had this same issue?
They are Aeres brand(i believe that's the spelling) and the correct part numbers for the style with the 16 gal saddle tank.

I guess we'd need to know how they mount. either way, is there no adjustment?
