1954 Hood ornament location help
 

Does anyone know if there is a specific attachment location on the hood strip for the ornament. I have a 1947-1954 assembly manual but it does not indicate the placement of the ornament.

As the ornament was a dealer installed option, is the location just eyeballed to what looks appropriate?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have not installed one but I believe there is a place on the underside of the hood where the pinches separate to mark the mounting stud locations.

Ahah, never mind, I can just never why you guys think bolting junk on otherwise nice clean looking trucks is attractive.

I have the screaming eagle for my 53 3100. I have not bolted in on yet but when I hold it up there the curvature seems to only fit in one spot. I think it looks cool and it is my truck. I don't think the blown 292 was a dealer option but I'm using it also.

Ok its cool to put whatever suits you on there but there is no spot for it as it is not original. Mock it up and go with what looks like for you. IMO it detracts from these trucks to over accessorize them.
