I need a good or new 4L60E tranny for my 94 gmc 4x4. If anyone knows where to get one new or used for a good price please let me know. Close to Nevada. Thanks Jim

I don't want to take anyone's sale away, but I've got the same tranny in my 96 burb. the local chevy dealership sells them (rebuilt of course) for around $1200-includes a warranty (can't remember). Rebuild shops can probably rebuild them and make it stronger if you've done anything to the engine or running larger tires (=more stress on all ready weak tranny). Out of curiousity, do you have between 120-130k on the tranny?

No I am @ 96k when it went out.

i KNOW OF ONE FROM A 97 WITH 40,000 MILES ON IT. DOES IT HAVE TO BE FROM A 4X4? NOT SURE IF THIS ONE IS BUT CAN CHECK. VERY REASONABLE.....S/S
