Radio Knob Differences

Anyone know why these knobs are shorter? Are the year specific? Maybe off a van? Bought a radio and these were on it. Pics compared to another knob. Thanks

I think that those are 67 year knobs. Not sure about the length though.

From what I’ve read the 67 knobs had ribs in the knobs but these are smooth.

Those are 68-72 knobs. Not sure why the different lengths, I have seen both styles many times.

I'm pretty sure the deeper knob is for a RPO NL2 auxiliary fuel tank switch. The shorter ones would be for the radio
