72 C20 front end rebuild kit.
Hello, i'm looking to rebuild the front end of my C20. I want all quality parts. I also want everything to rebuild it. I found this kit from earlyclassic.com https://www.earlyclassic.com/node/1187 It doesn't specify if it's for a C10 or C20. Does it matter? Can anyone tell me for sure if this kit is what i'm looking for? I would buy the parts individually but I don't want to miss anything.

I've used the kit for power steering. It's top notch, I recommend it. You're right, website doesn't show the option. You'll have to call them to be sure.

Ball joints and tie rods ends are heavier for c20...Maybe Rockauto, compare C10 and C20.

I had my 72 C20 rebuilt a few months ago by a reputable shop here in Sacramento. Here the parts list, all Moog I believe:

In process as we speak of installing a complete front end component from Jegs. All Moog stuff, All price matched, All USA manufacture and complete matching parts.
I could not be happier with the service from Jegs, just specify all components must have matching manufacturing batch numbers. They will tell you they cannot do that but will try. They did. DONE! |

I just did my c20 a few months ago. Best price I got was amazon. All moog parts, just can’t remember the exact price.

Also, while you're there, upgrade to the 9/16" lower control arm u-bolts. ECE sells 'em as well, or Dorman 13503 at most part stores. The stock ones were 7/16", and later ones were 1/2"; both had a penchant for snapping when in reverse and having the wheel cranked all the way in either direction. You may have to enlarge the holes a little with a 9/16" bit to install them. |

I used the Doorman 9/16 u-bolts when I rebuilt my '72 C20 Custom Camper. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that it had 9/16 u-bolts from the factory, so no drilling required. Good luck on your build.
