1949 S-10 frame build thread
Me and my dad have been bitten by the 47-55 trucks for years now. Between the both of us we have had bone stock to rat rod to now our 2nd s10 frame swap. And this one I want to share and get tips along the way if anyone wants to chime in. So here we go!

It cleaned up pretty good was hop full that the engine would be ok but it ended up to be junk :(. So after much discussion on direction of the truck we decided (being we had a perfect s10 frame) to make a nice little driver out of it.

Re: 1949 S-10 frame build thread
cool start!
before this gets a lot of traction here, there is a build thread forum section. a lot of new guys are starting their build threads in the q&a forum. can you either ask a mod to move it, or ask them to close this one and start over in the project forum? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=205 |

i dont think it is a problem, except more and more are doing it. there are three on page one for example. I only suggested starting over in the project forum because there havent been a lot of replies yet.
no need to move along, we love projects here. |
Re: 1949 S-10 frame build thread
:welcome2:Don’t go away, I’m thrilled to see a new build. As joedoh stated go to the projects and build page and start your build there. Not sure why the moderators haven’t been moving these to the build forum.
Seems we have been low on new builds in the 47-55 range........SO COME BACKKK! |
Re: 1949 S-10 frame build thread
Or you do what a lazy arse like me does - post your daily progress reports in the "What Did You Do With Your Truck Today" thread. Right now there's about 10 build threads going on in there, and so far no one's objected.
