HELP! need to find 1956 rear end thrust washers

Can anyone point me in a place to find the side gear thrust washers and the small spider gear thrush washers for 55T rear. In the process of rebuilding the rear end in my 1956 truck, and the damn thing didnt have any thrust washers. Yukon gears says they dont sell them for 55-64 trucks only the passenger car. I verified the 55p washers do not fit. I have looked all over google, and nothing. I have looked on craigslist for someone selling a rear end, so i can snag some, but no luck!

You are using an original Chevrolet truck axle? I cannot see thrust washers in either the parts or service manual. Either they are included with new gears or they are not used.

http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...55ctsm0409.htm

This page shows the small gear (the pinion) part number as 370225.
Here is an Ebay auction for an NOS 370225.

The same page above shows the side gear part number as 3652344.

Here are pictures of NOS 3652344.

I am not seeing thrust washers in any of those images.

Is there any chance your truck has a different axle? Possibly a Dana from a GMC or a later passenger or truck axle?

thanks for the info! I guess my rear end guy didnt know the 55T doesnt have thrust washers. Seems odd there isnt any though, because of the potential for wear at those points

Also, when i took it apart, there wasnt any washers and it is definitely a 55T because it had the 3:90 ratio, which im converting to 3:38

I didn't remember washers but it's been years since I pulled apart a 55T axle. So I checked everywhere I could think of. It may be good that your rebuilder looked at the pile of parts and noted there are none present. At least he's paying attention.

How much did the gears cost?

I agree. He seems pretty knowledgeable, he was recommended to be by another car builder. I bought the Yukon Gear set for the 55T along with the master rebuild kit. The ring and pinion (YG GM55T-338) was $330 on amazon, which was the best deal i found, and the rebuild kit (YK GM55CHEVY) was $248 on amazon also.
