Instruments / Gauge Sets Like Dakota Digital

I've got a '67 restomod that has the original instruments. I would like to put one of the newer gauge sets in it that looks close to oem but modern technology. Something like Dakota Digital or Classic Instruments. Anyone here using these? Which brand is best?

There is a cluster on the E-Bay that is like $300. It has a lot of functions and if you are going LS is is the best way to go IMO you can get them in green blue white silver and red [background] I have a customer that used them in a 67 and they are awesome. Good Luck .Jim

In my opinion and from some experience working on these clusters, I think Classic Instruments makes a pretty nice set up. Wire colors match factory. Very easy instructions and options. Needs only speedometer and tach calibration after install. The truck has to be driveable to calibrate the speedometer but tach cal is stationary.

You do get what you pay for here and customer support goes with that. Myself, I would stay away from the $300.00 eBay deals.

I would also do reviews before making a purchase. I see mixed reviews on Dolphin products.

Everyone has an opinion.

I like the look of the new Dakota Digital set up with the needles....

You can kind of see them here.. I would take a new picture, but it's up on the lift and I'm actually to lazy to go out and move everything to lower it. Plus, I've been painting on pieces of the Camaro today, so everything is a mess.

I will say this, the Dakota Digital system is very reliable once you get it all set up. And, it's complete. It comes with everything I needed to install the gauges.

Again, everybody has an opinion. I like the Dakota Digital setup I have, obviously, or I would have used a different set.

Best of luck, and hope you new year is wonderful!!
